Meet the Owner of Takoma Bicycle, Bruce Sawtelle

I have been in the bicycle retail business since my childhood. After of decades of working for others, I decided to open Takoma Bicycle in 2010. My goal then was to use my experience and creativity to build a unique, comfortable and professionally run place for cyclists to find the right products and get the services they need. That is still my goal today. I strive to make every customer feel important and treat everyone with respect. I enjoy everything from helping kids find their very first bicycle to helping prepare cyclists with accessories for their first commute. I can honestly say I love people that love to ride and I hope it shows. When someone leaves with a smile on their face I know I have done a great job. Helping people is what it comes down to.
