Meet Bruce Sawtelle

Bruce Sawtelle has worked in bicycle retail since childhood. After decades of working for other businesses, he opened Takoma Bicycle in 2010.

His goal was to create a comfortable, professionally run neighborhood bike shop where cyclists could find the right products, receive dependable service, and feel respected throughout the process. That remains his goal today.

Bruce enjoys helping every kind of rider, from children choosing their first bicycle to commuters preparing for the road and experienced cyclists looking for the right equipment or service.

At the heart of Takoma Bicycle is a simple commitment: listen carefully, explain the options clearly, and take good care of both the customer and the bicycle.
